Aurora Annurca Partnership

As part of the refurbishment of our Wellbeing Centre on Memorial Avenue in Worksop, we are pleased to announce Aurora's partnership with Apple Fitness and Annurca.
Apple Fitness will support our cause by providing gentle gym classes to help physically rehabilitate those living with cancer.
Did you know?
There is significant and overwhelming evidence that activity and exercise can benefit cancer patients. According to Macmillan, activity and exercise can slash the risk of cancers returning by 40%. As such, we find it extremely important to offer a gym facility to patients.
Our gentle gym classes will be tailored specifically to the needs of cancer patients and will provide many physical and social benefits to help them on the road to recovery. Apple are committed to helping such a great cause and are even moving their studio and current class schedule over to the Aurora Wellbeing Centre in Worksop.
Annurca will assist in developing new wellbeing programmes that will offer cancer patients, carers, relatives and friends information and support on the best ways to recover physically and mentally from cancer. These free health education workshops, most importantly, will use interactive learning methods and provide social support.
Gym classes from Apple start this February, with slots for Aurora on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Developments on Annurca projects are underway and aim to start in March.
Please ring the Aurora Wellbeing Centre on 01909 502767 or email us for more information.
