Woodlands Rhinos Club (formerly The Bomb) hosted a night held in memory of Chris Burton last Friday the 27th April.
Chris worked tirelessly fundraising for the Aurora Centres, raising thousands of pounds over several years. She was an inspirational lady who sadly lost her battle with cancer last October.
The night was organised by Chris's family and has so far raised over £2500 with the figure still rising.
The night featured Martin Burton and his band the Rhythym Junkies and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

Cusworth Music Festival takes place on Bank Holiday Sunday 26th August 2012 at Cusworth Hall and Country Park, Cusworth, near Doncaster. Gates open at 11am show time noon until 10pm.
Line-up
The first acts confirmed are Famous Villains, Stafford Galli, Acoustic Angels, Whizzkid, The Beeds, Natalie Webster, Jonathon Moore, and more bands to be announced.
Tickets
Early bird tickets are priced at £10 for adults, children aged between 12 and 16 tickets are £5, with under 12's free when accompanied by a paying adult, £15 on the day. To buy tickets, click here.
No camping
This year there will be no camping available, instead there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

Proceeds from the event will be going to Doncaster's local cancer charity - The Aurora Centre.

For those who have given up chocolate for lent and are looking forward to indulging on chocolate eggs over Easter should look no further that The Goose pub in Doncaster. The pub on Hallgate is hosting a chocolate themed weekend of fun over Easter in aid of Doncaster based cancer charity, Aurora Centre.
From Good Friday (6th April) through to Easter Monday (9th April) the pub will be running competitions such as ‘Guess the bunnies name’ and ‘Guess the Weight’ of a giant jar of chocolate eggs. Customers can also purchase buns, cakes and chocolate Easter eggs with all proceeds donated to Aurora Centre.
Lindsay Thornton, assistant manager of The Goose and organiser of the Easter Weekend will be inviting customers buy raffle tickets to win superb prizes including free driving lessons, a free professional carpet clean, a £30 Gardening Voucher, a computer clean up, Nandos vouchers and many more. “Customers can even guess how many raffle tickets we will sell to win prizes”, said Lindsay. “We’ve a busy weekend planned and it’s all in aid of Aurora Centre, which provides amazing support to patients suffering from cancer and their families in the Doncaster area.”
“The pub will also be hosting a stall at the ‘Care to Give’ fashion show on Maundy Thursday (5th April) held at The Mansion House in Doncaster, starting at 7pm. We will be selling jewellery, perfumes, soaps and bags to boost our fundraising. Anyone who purchases something from the stall will also receive a discount food and drink voucher offering 2 meals and a bottle of wine for £10 at The Goose,” she continued.
“We chose to support the Aurora Centre as it is a locally based charity that offers cancer patients and their families pampering treatments and the opportunity to relax and gain advice as they receive their treatment. The work the Centre does makes such a huge difference to the people whose lives it touches and we are really delighted to show our support as it nears its 10thanniversary.”
