A Doncaster Vehicle fleet management, maintenance and repair company organised a variety of fun fundraising activities to raise £515 for a local cancer charity. Over 160 staff participated in fundraising activities including Xmas raffles, Guess the weight of the cake, Dress down days and football cards.
“There was an exceptional number of nominations for us to fundraise for the Aurora centre from staff at Pullman Fleet Services,Doncaster, because it supports so many local men and women with a cancer diagnosis as well as their carers. Most people know at least one person who has been affected by cancer. Aurora can offer them a free package of wellbeing therapies and support to help raise their self-esteem and confidence during or after treatment,” says Laura McCallum, a serving member of the business’s charity committee, ‘One Voice’.
Some of the Fleet Pullman staff are also looking forward to be pampered themselves at one of five Aurora Wellbeing Centres across the region for a suggested donation which will help pay for a cancer patient’s free package of treatments.
